Need some ideas to get into the holiday spirit? Here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy the magic of Christmas in and around Pensacola this holiday season.
Pensacola Winterfest is a favorite among Pensacola locals every holiday season. Events begin daily at 5pm and run through December 24th. Downtown Pensacola comes alive with music arts and crafts, Grinch tours, “snow”, themed trolley rides, photos with Santa and friends, and much more. While many items are ticketed, you can enjoy free performances nightly beginning at 5.
Looking for something different this holiday season? Head to the North Pole at OWA in Foley, Alabama for some fun Christmas crafts, a cool Christmas tree, and a fountain light show happening nightly from 5- 9 pm. And don’t forget to stop by the North Pole on Saturdays and Sundays to enjoy some shopping and photos with Santa and his elves. The event runs from December 3rd- 23rd.
Visit Gulf Breeze Zoo on December 10th-11th and December 17th-18th for some fun live music and entertainment, photos with Santa and friends and other fun events you don’t want to miss.
Visit Sowell Farms in Milton daily through December 26th to experience a drive through Christmas light display equipped with train rides, photos with Santa and more.
While not in Pensacola, Bellingrath Garden’s Magic Christmas in Lights is a truly unique experience worth the hour drive to Mobile, Alabama. A perfect event for all ages, take a walk through 15 different themed light displays. Visit before January 4, 2023 when they close for the season.
Pensacola Bay Center hosts public ice-skating sessions from October-April. Sessions typically lasts one hour on the weekends and after Ice Flyers home games. You can also visit The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama for ice skating through January 16, 2023.
Families from Pensacola and surrounding areas can come to downtown Pensacola and enjoy the annual Christmas parade that includes nearly 100 entries and bands from Escambia County, Santa Rosa County and New Orleans. The parade also features the nationally renowned Blue Angels Flight team and other organizations from our region. This event is free!
Want to see some brightly colored decorated boats? Visit Lulu’s on December 10th at 4:30 and watch the Lulu’s Lighted Boat Parade starting at dusk. This event is free!
